Big Cherry
PUBLIC NOTICE
The Town of Big Stone Gap is publishing this notice to inform the public of the proposed Big Cherry – Straight Fork Trail Interconnect project. The project will involve the construction of approximately 5,000 LF of 4-foot-wide native soil trail and installation of trail signage and amenities (benches and trash receptacles). The trail will provide better access to Big Cherry for additional recreational activities and will link to other regional trails and recreational areas. No impacts to the environment of the project area are anticipated.
Funding for the project is being provided by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation’s Recreational Trails Program.
